It is with great anticipation that Golf World Magazine and the Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM) have combined efforts to streamline the entry process for two of the golf industry’s most prestigious award programs – Golf World’s 100 Best Golf Shops and the AGM’s Front Nine Awards.
“Partnering with the AGM, whose membership includes some of the most creative and successful retailers in the business, is an exciting opportunity for Golf World,” said editor-in-chief, Geoff Russell.
Although both awards will share a common entry form, each program will continue to have its own set of judging criteria. All entries will be sent directly to AGM Headquarters and the AGM will be responsible for judging the entries and determining the winners.
“We are pleased to join forces with Golf World Magazine in this important endeavor for our industry,” noted Ken Morton, Jr., AGM President. “With the streamlined process, we anticipate that more PGA golf professionals, buyers, and merchandisers will enter the competitions.”
The official entry form may be accessed via the AGM website, www.agmgolf.org and the firm deadline date for entries for both award programs is November 7, 2008.
One of the most important benefits of this initiative is the ability to share the creative information and ideas from all of the fine entries which will assist golf retailers in operating more successfully and more profitability.
