September 22, 2008 (Itasca, IL) Excel Golf Products, Inc. staff player Kenny Perry played a vital role in the United States defeating Europe at the 2008 Ryder Cup which was played September 19-21.
Along with several other members of the U.S. team that was captained by Paul Azinger, Perry teed up with limited edition Zero Friction Performance Golf Tees that were imprinted with the U.S. flag. Excel Golf also provided the European team with tees imprinted with their flag.

Playing in his second career Ryder Cup, Perry made the most of competing at Louisville’s Valhalla Golf Course which is located in his home state of Kentucky. With most of the gallery following the local native, Perry’s victories received some of the loudest ovations of the week.
On Friday, Perry and Jim Furyk halved their match with Europe’s Lee Westwood and Robert Karlsson. Paired with Furyk again on Saturday, the team defeated Karlsson and Padraig Harrington. For his singles match on the closing day, Perry defeated Henrik Stenson, 3 and 2, helping team U.S.A to their first Ryder Cup win since 1999.
