CourseVision Goes Green
Littleton, Colorado – September 23, 2008 – CourseVision announced today that at next week’s Golf Inc. Conference in Scottsdale it will introduce a new release of its product focused on environmental stewardship. This new release builds on the product’s ten years experience in golf course asset management by adding environmental blueprints of a property, tools to jumpstart environmental certification and interactive outreach capabilities to showcase environmental efforts.
“The new release of CourseVision will allow me to easily share my ongoing environmental programs at the course with my members and community”, said Dan Dinelli, CGCS who is the Superintendent for North Shore Country Club in Glenview, Illinois. Dinelli added, “This expanded environmental focus will also help me address the outreach and education component of our Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary certification”.
Highlights of the new release include:
EcoViews – environmental blueprints of a golf property that serve as a baseline for environmental projects and initiatives. EcoViews provide an accurate environmental footprint of the entire golf property including turf areas, native landscapes, wildlife habitats, water bodies and other surface features.
Environmental Certification – CourseVision provides a significant head start for courses desiring this recognition. From site assessment and environmental planning to outreach and education, CourseVision addresses many of the certification requirements.
EcoTours – enables the ongoing stewardship programs of a golf property to be easily and visually communicated beyond the gates of the club. With EcoTours, you can easily share environmental projects with others on your existing website.
“The number of environmental projects and initiatives being conducted at golf courses around the world today is unprecedented. Sharing these efforts in a meaningful way with the public, however, has proven difficult until today!” said Rich Williamson a Partner with the company. “With CourseVision’s web-based imagery and multimedia displays, a golf property is now able to easily and effectively convey its environmental stewardship to the community.”
Those interested in taking a closer look at CourseVision can see the product at booth #11 at the Golf Inc. Conference which runs from September 29th to October 1st at the Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, AZ.
