‘The Hottest Shafts in Golf’ win wood, hybrid counts on Nationwide Tour; #1 hybrid on PGA Tour

POWAY, Calif. – Aldila’s VooDoo shaft featuring S-core Technology™ continued to grow in popularity this past weekend as more than 70 of the shafts were put in play between the Ryder Cup, the Oregon Classic and the Viking Classic. Boo Weekley used the VooDoo to help propel the U.S. to its first Ryder Cup win since 1999 while some of the longest drives at the competition were powered by the VooDoo.

Tour players continue to choose the VooDoo for the stability, accuracy and increased distance of its stabilized core. Its internal carbon-fiber rib system that dramatically stabilizes its cross-section. The VooDoo’s innovative rib structure increases hoop strength/stiffness so much that it is 80 percent greater than conventional graphite, and up to 60 percent greater than competitors’ attempts at cross-sectional stabilization.

In addition, the winner of the Oregon Classic posted his second victory using Aldila’s VS Proto™ shafts. With the win he moved up 34 spots and improved to 19th on the Nationwide Tour’s money list setting him up to be one of the Top 25 who earn their 2009 PGA Tour cards when the season concludes Nov. 9.

Aldila was also the #1 wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer at the Oregon Classic having more than a 2-to1 advantage in the hybrid category over the next leading competitor, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila also won the hybrid shaft count at the PGA Tour’s Viking Classic by almost a 2-to1 margin over the next leading shaft manufacturer.

“Aldila has the unique ability to define the intangibles of the game of golf,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “To translate numbers into theory, theory into practice, and practice into perfection. This tried-and-true triad, and your success, is the two factors Aldila balances its reputation on. So we make sure to get them right. The bottom line … we experiment so you don’t have to.”
