Fairhaven, MA (September 29, 2008) – FootJoy, the #1 Shoe and Glove in Golf, announces today the sweep of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Both Vijay Singh and Camilo Villegas trusted FootJoy shoes and gloves en route to their victories during the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
Singh’s back-to-back victories at the Barclays and Deutsche Bank Championship helped secure the coveted FedEx Cup and the $10 Million first prize. During his victories Singh wore DryJoys shoes and a SciFlex glove. Villegas captured his first two career PGA Tour wins at The BMW Championship and The Tour Championship wearing Classics Dry Premiere shoes and a StaSof glove. Villegas’ eight birdies in the final round at the Tour Championship helped him guarantee his second win on tour and second place finish in the FedEx Cup point race.
Although Singh and Villegas were the only two players to win a playoff event, they share a lot in common with other players by making FootJoy shoes and gloves an integral part of their game. Combining all events through the Tour Championship, 63% of all PGA Tour players have relied upon the performance and comfort of FootJoy shoes.
