Nearly half of final 30 players at Tour Championship trusted Aldila shafts
POWAY, Calif. – Riding the success of their new VooDoo shaft being the number one driver shaft at the Ryder Cup competition, Aldila continued its domination of the FedExCup by winning the woods and hybrids shaft manufacturer counts at the Tour Championship, according to the Darrell Survey. With the win in the woods and hybrids categories, Aldila completed a clean sweep of the FedExCup events.
At the Tour Championship the top Tour players chose Aldila’s wood shafts over the next leading competitor by almost a 2-to-1 margin and Aldila’s hybrids were chosen at a 3-to-1 margin over the next leading shaft manufacturer. Of the 30 players that made the final round of the PGA Tour Playoffs for the FedExCup, 14 were using Aldila shafts.
“It’s great to see that when the top players in the world are given a choice of shafts, they consistently choose Aldila,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager.
On the LPGA Tour, the winner of the Navistar LPGA Classic used Aldila’s VS Proto™ shaft to help post her seventh victory of the year winning on the second hole of a playoff. It was her 24th career LPGA Tour victory and with it she earned $210,000 and extended her season total to $2,591,048.
Aldila isn’t just a golf company; it’s a materials-science think tank that’s constantly researching the potential of physical and chemical compounds. They discover them first so you don’t have to wait until tomorrow to improve your game
