New Nike Women’s Footwear Combines a Complete Package of Comfort and Style for Golfers at Every Level of The Game
BEAVERTON, Ore. (October 1, 2008) – Nike Golf has introduced two updated styles, the Nike Air Brassie II and the Air Summer Lite II. Nike women’s footwear represents Nike Golf’s conscientious effort to develop footwear that is engineered specifically for women. This important detail results in improved comfort and fit.
Aligning with Nike Golf women’s apparel in relation to colors and patterns, the Nike Summer Lite II and Air Brassie II will perform in all playing conditions. In warm weather conditions, the Air Summer Lite II features breathable mesh which supports cooling and comfort throughout their round. The Air Brassie II is waterproof, sleek and durable, promoting extended comfort and performance. This season, the original Nike Air Brassie has been worn by Michelle Wie and Paige Mackenzie on the LPGA Tour.
Nike Air Brassie II
The Nike Air Brassie II provides a complete package for today’s game by combining comfort and style for the woman golfer.
The Nike Air Brassie II was built on the Nike Power Platform outsole which has enjoyed tremendous success at retail. The Nike Power Platform uses proprietary technology to keep the foot grounded while providing lateral support throughout the golf swing. Building off last year’s successful model, the new Air Brassie II shoe highlights a new technology that wraps up the side of the mid-foot for a secure fit.
The Nike Air Brassie II offers the following technology benefits:
– Full-grain leather
– Low-profile Air unit in heel
– Full-length comfort sockliner
– Full-length Phylon midsole
– Nike Power Platform
– 2-Year Limited Waterproof Warranty
– Scorpion Stinger Spikes and Q-Lok system

Air Summer Lite II
Enhancing the popular original Air Summer Lite, Nike’s Air Summer Lite II is being released in new colors with updated styling. This extremely lightweight summer shoe keeps feet cool in warm conditions. Through focused testing at the Nike Sports Research Lab, it was determined that a majority of heat is released from the top of the foot. To address this issue, Nike Golf designers created a tongue-less shoe that keeps feet cool, while providing great support.
The Air Summer Lite II was built on a women’s specific last for guaranteed comfort and a tailored women’s fit. For extra support and durability, there is synthetic leather located in the heel and toe box. The suede on the inside of the shoe further promotes comfort without socks, however, if a woman chooses to wear socks, Nike Golf offers lightweight breathable socks.
In addition to the aforementioned enhanced technology, the Air Summer Lite II also offers the following technology benefits:
– Mesh & synthetic leather upper
– Air-flow ventilation system
– Low-profile Air unit in heel
– Full-length comfort sockliner
– Full-length Phylon midsole
– Nike Power Platform
– Integrated spike system
