Mitchell® Golf Equipment Institute announced today the consolidation of its two shaft performance schools into one. The Shaft Performance Technology School and the True Temper® “Gold Certified” Shaft Fitting Specialist School have been combined. The 3-day Shaft Performance Technology with True Temper® Gold Certification School makes its debut November 17-19. Students receive two certificates of training as a Shaft Performance Technology Specialist and True Temper® “Gold Certified” Shaft Fitting Specialist.
This new school explains how the golf shaft improves shot making. Students learn advanced frequency matching, frequency gradients, proper tip trimming, profiling, spine/flo methods, and how to determine shaft flexes & compare shaft specifications from one manufacturer to another. Students learn how to frequency-tune Black Gold shafts from a master blank. Attendees take home $280 worth of Black Gold Shafts free to sell to their first customers.
Ed Mitchell, President of Mitchell® Golf Equipment Institute states, “Club performance technicians must know and understand the performance specifications of all the different shafts that are available. Golfers want club performance repair upgrades just like tour professionals receive every week on tour. This new school teaches the methods for determining those performance specifications and how to apply them for the best fit.”
Mitchell® Golf Equipment Institute offers two other schools, which includes 3-day Club Repair Technician and 2-day Club Performance Fitting. All schools are conducted at the Mitchell® Golf Equipment Institute facility in Dayton, Ohio featuring a-state-of-the-art club repair lab furnished with Mitchell® Golf’s professional grade performance & repair equipment, a classroom, a specialized performance-fitting center with a multiple station hitting bay outfitted with Zelocity PureLaunch radar launch monitors and a putter fitting studio. In addition, a break room, show room and office provide the perfect learning experience.
Paul Bessler, a 32-year PGA Professional is Director of Instruction. He states, “Industry professionals are constantly asking us how to compare shaft playing characteristics between brands. Our new combined Shaft Performance Technology with True Temper Gold Certification School answers that question. The golf shaft is an important performance fitting variable and this school eliminates the confusion surrounding the performance of different shaft designs and frequency tuning.”
Mitchell® Golf Equipment Institute schedule is posted at www.mitchellgolfschool.com. Enrollment is limited to 12 students per school. Anyone interested in attending should sign up online or contact Mike Stevens mike@mitchellgolf.com or call 800-437-1314 ext. 116.
