Half Moon Bay, Calif. – With her characteristic flare, Paula Creamer proved that you can go home again as she captured the Samsung World Championship just a short drive from her hometown of Pleasanton.
With cheers of ‘Go Pleasanton’ urging her on, the 22-year-old Creamer fired a bogey-free final round of 3-under 69 to capture her fourth LPGA Tour event of 2008 and her eighth Tour title. Creamer was the only player in the elite field of the Top 20 women players in the world to not record a bogey in the final two rounds. In winning the World Championship – her biggest win so far – Creamer is the first American-born player to win at least four tournaments in a single year since 1999.
Creamer was on top of the World in her trademark Sunday pink outfit and her new Allure sunglasses from her 2009 Sundog Eyewear Paula Creamer Collection.
“We are all so very proud of Paula and especially the way she came though under the added pressure of performing in front of her family, friends, and hometown crowd,” said John Whitney, Sundog Eyewear Vice President of Product Development and Production. “The Samsung World Championship marks Paula’s first win in her Allure sunglasses, and we’re certain she will enjoy even more success with her new Collection than she did in her earlier lines.”
The 2009 Paula Creamer Collection is the third Sundog Eyewear PC Collection, and as always Creamer was closely involved with the design and very special ‘Paula’ look to her sport and fashion-styled sunglasses. For 2009 her internationally popular Prowl model has been refined and complemented by two new styles: Allure (a credit to Paula’s personality) and Iconic (featuring laser etched temple artistry).
Allure features One Piece 6 Base De-centered Lens, MaxFlex RISLAN Frames, Metal Core Adjustable Megol Nose Pad, and Suspended Lens open frame design. Prowl has de-centered 10 Base PC TORIC lens, stainless steel frame front, Uni-fit Adjustable Nose Pads and Integrated Color Flare on the Temple Tops. Iconic features One Piece 8 Base De-centered PC lens, MaxFlex RISLAN frames, and Suspended Lens open frame design.
The 2009 Paula Creamer Collection is just part of the Sundog Eyewear Genuine Performance line that includes PGA Tour star Mike Weir’s Weir Golf Signature Series and 2008 Ryder Cup hero Hunter Mahan’s new H Signature Series.
The Paula Creamer Collection is an exclusive line designed with Paula Creamer’s sense of fashion-forward style for on and off-course wear. To view the complete line of Sundog Eyewear please visit www.sundogeyewear.com
