Paula Utilizes Newest Bridgestone Ball in 4th Victory of 2008
Covington, Ga. – Known widely for using a pink Precept ball in the final round, Paula decided to give “Pinky” a rest this week in favor of parent company Bridgestone Golf’s new B330-RX, a ball designed with tour-level feel and control around the greens, but optimized for moderate swing speeds off the tee. The switch paid off as the Pink Panther posted 3 rounds in the 60’s on her way to a 9-under four round total that was good enough for a 1-shot victory at the Samsung World Championship.
“We’re really excited that Paula thought so much of the B330-RX in testing that she decided to put it in play almost immediately,” said Dan Murphy, Senior Director of Marketing – Bridgestone Golf, Inc. “Paula certainly loves her Pink Lady iQ 180, but in routine R&D testing this week, she found that the B330-RX was performing best for her swing. We’re thrilled that her experimentation worked out so well and resulted in yet another win.”
The victory, Creamer’s eighth since joining the LPGA TOUR makes her the first American player to win 4 events or more in one season since Juli Inkster did it in 1999. The win was also Creamer’s 5th LPGA Victory relying on Bridgestone-Precept technology.
“Many of my fans are probably wondering where ‘Pinky’ was today,” said Creamer. “I decided to experiment a bit this week with some of Precept’s parent company’s newest technology. In early testing I quickly gained confidence in the B330-RX and knew it could be the perfect ball for me this week in the tough conditions outside San Francisco. I can’t say for sure what the future holds for me ball-wise, but I can tell you that whether I’m playing the B330-RX or a Pink Precept iQ 180 I’ll be confident knowing that I have ball technology that is second-to-none, in my camp.”
TOUR B330-RX
With its new Very SOFT Gradational Compression Core, the B330-RX delivers TOUR-level spin, control and feel, yet provides maximum distance to moderate swing speed players (less than 105 mph swing speeds) off the tee. Designed for swing speeds between 85-105 mph, the new B330-RX is the softest multilayer ball on the market, and the first TOUR performance ball designed specifically for low handicap amateurs.
In addition to the new core, the B330-RX features an Ionomer Inner Cover that provides increased velocity and reduced spin off the driver and long irons, allowing players to hit their tee shots, fairway woods and long irons further with less swing speed. The B330-RX utilizes the same industry leading Seamless Cover Technology that Bridgestone balls have become known for, and features a 330-dimple pattern for optimal trajectory and consistency of ball flight. Furthermore, the enhanced Urethane cover offers TOUR-caliber greenside control and buttery soft feel on putts.
The B330-RX features a street price of $42.99 per dozen (suggested retail price of $56 per dozen) and is available now at golf specialty stores and green grass retailers nationwide.
