Alexandria, VA – October 6, 2008 – The Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) is pleased to announce that its magazine, Club Management, has designated G. Mead Grady, CCM, the 2008 Club Executive/Manager of the Year. Grady is general manager of the Peachtree Golf Club, Atlanta, GA.
A past president of CMAA (1988) and a board member during 1974 – 1976 and 1984 – 1986, Grady currently serves on The Club Foundation Board of Directors, a position he has held since 1989. He is a member of the Georgia Chapter of CMAA and is on the Georgia State University Industry Board.
Club Management, published by Naylor, LLC, which partners with CMAA to produce the magazine, honored Grady with this prestigious award following a rigorous nomination, evaluation and selection process. The Club Executive/Manager of the Year award (formerly known as the Club Manager of the Year award) is presented to the club executive/manager who most embodies the intelligence, values, vision and professionalism necessary for success in the profession.
