‘The Hottest Shafts in Golf’ #1 hybrid shaft of choice with Top 20 LPGA players
POWAY, Calif. – Using Aldila’s DVS™ in her driver Paula Creamer shot a 9-under-par (68-74-68-69=279) to win the Samsung World Championship by one stroke, her fourth tournament of the season and the eighth of her career.
Often considered the 5th Major on the LPGA since only the top 20 players in the world are invited, Creamer carded an impressive 37 consecutive holes without a bogey to claim the title.
With the victory, the 22-year-old Northern California native earned a first place check of $250,000 and took over second place on the 2008 LPGA Official Money List. It was her first win in the San Francisco Bay area where she grew up.
“This means a lot,” she said. “That is (a) big win for myself. I put so much pressure on myself every time I come here and to finally have one, it feels really good. I’m very excited.”
Aldila’s DVS shaft features an innovative, new responsive tip design for extra kick at impact with an optimum launch. Stabilized with a unique flex profile and very low torque – distance is maximized. Aldila’s revolutionary Micro Laminate Technology™, enhanced with carbon nanotubes, provides for perfect feel. High performance technology harnessed and perfected into a special blend of weight, torque, flex and feel. Simply put, it’s sneaky long.
“Aldila’s revolutionary Micro Laminate Technology™ was first introduced in the Aldila NV™, then enhanced in the VS Proto™ and is now perfected in the DVS™,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “By incorporating ultra-thin, aerospace grade carbon fiber with carbon nanotubes, Aldila engineers have taken golf shaft technology and performance to the extreme.”
Aldila was also the #1 hybrid shaft manufacturer at the Samsung World Championship where they had two times as many hybrids in play than any other manufacturer.
“It’s great to see that when giving the choice for hybrid shafts, more of the Top 20 LPGA players in the world rely on Aldila,” said Bahl.
Not only is Aldila the most popular hybrid shaft on the LPGA Tour, but they are also the number one brand of graphite shafts for consumers with new drivers, fairway woods and hybrid clubs for the third consecutive year, according to the Darrell Survey, 2007 U.S. National Survey.
