New Styles Distinguished by Rich Materials, Feminine Details, Sleek Shapes
Danish shoemaker ECCO introduces its women’s golf collection for Spring/Summer 2009, with the brand’s new Four Dots logo showcased across a broad range of styles blending distinctive elegance with advanced technologies to ensure the highest levels of fashion, comfort and performance.
Made using a proprietary direct-injection process that guarantees ECCO’s hallmark durability, the collection features soft, breathable leathers, ultra-slim midsoles and sleek, color-matched outsoles. Its color palette of soft reds, purples and blues, vibrant metallics, black and white is expressed in a variety of classic, casual and contemporary looks.
Offering exquisite touches of femininity combined with serious performance, the new collection is highlighted by the Casual Cool Hydromax. This trend-inspired design pairs tactile rubber detailing and distressed leather types with a low-profile, ultra-lightweight midsole boasting asymmetrical arch support. An integrated swing stabilizer and Comfort Fiber System cushion and cradle the foot to create the ideal platform for the perfect swing.
“This luxury collection relies on our brand’s 45-year shoemaking heritage to strike a balance between superb style and maximum playability,” says Michael Waack, Head of Global Golf at ECCO. “The looks, textures and shapes immediately grab the eye, but women will also love the enhanced stability, traction and flexibility.”
Each ECCO golf shoe is touched by more than 225 sets of highly-skilled hands during production, resulting in a level of quality that cannot be matched by any major footwear manufacturer. This labor-intensive process facilitates the brand’s unrivalled attention to detail that helps discerning players look, feel and play their best.
ECCO women’s golf shoes are worn in competition by scores of international Tour stars, including Juli Inkster, Carin Koch, Gwladys Nocera, Pat Hurst, Sophie Gustafson, Laura Davies, Meena Lee, Candie Kung, Linda Wessberg, Wendy Ward and others.
