Prague, Czech Republic – At the invitation of Karel Skopovy of the Czech PGA, Geoff Mangum spent two days training members of the Czech PGA in his system of the four skills for instinctive putting.
About 40 PGA teaching and playing pros attended the two-days intensive training. The program covered reading putts, aiming the putter and setup, stroke dynamics, and instinctive distance control or touch. Geoff Mangum’s instruction for putting is unique in that other teachers are limited almost exclusively to teaching some version of stroke, whereas Mangum approaches putting as a whole and combines the best of golf history with modern neuroscience for targeting and stroke movement processes in the brain and body for all four putting skills.
Karel Skopovsky said: “We are very proud to have Geoff Mangum teaching the Czech PGA as the first stop in his European Tour this month. We have been learning many amazing and important aspects about putting that will help the Czech PGA become a leader in golf instruction in the PGA of Europe.”
Geoff Mangum is already planning a return visit to the Czech Republic next Spring, for training new PuttingZone Coaches and teaching Czech players. Mangum said, “The reception among the Czech has been very warm and enthusiastic. We’ve had a fantastic two days, and I had a very nice visit in beautiful Prague. I am very much looking forward to working with my new friends again next April or May.”
