SAN FRANCISCO — The second annual Comcast/NCGA Foundation Invitational will be held Friday, October 24 at 1:00 at the venerable Harding Park Golf Course in San Francisco. The event is open to the public and hopes to raise more than $100,000 to support deserving youth in Northern California.
The shamble format will allow every golfer to complete each hole with his or her own ball after the best tee shot is selected from the group. Sponsorship opportunities are available at $750 per player by calling the NCGA Foundation at 831-625-4653.
Comcast’s partnership with the growing Foundation enables the non-profit organization to increase grant-making efforts while lending support to its Youth on Course golf access programs.
Proceeds from the October event will benefit the NCGA Foundation’s Youth on Course initiative, which provides children with life skills and values training and access to 80 golf courses throughout the region for an average fee of only $2.
Adding to its already impressive resume, Harding Park will host the world’s best golfers in 2009 during The Presidents Cup.
