San Francisco, Calif., Oct. 17, 2008 – KemperSports today announced Bridget Buck as catering sales and events manager at Harding Park Golf Course, located in San Francisco and host of The Presidents Cup 2009. In this role, Buck will be responsible for all catering sales and events initiatives at the Northern California property.

Buck brings to Harding Park four years of experience within various hospitality and event planning roles. Most recently, she worked as assistant event coordinator for Bijoux Events in Santa Barbara, Calif.

“We are thrilled to welcome Bridget to the Harding Park team,” said KemperSports General Manager, Steve Argo. “Her strong experience and professional capabilities will contribute to making The Presidents Cup 2009 a world-class event.”

Buck, a native of Santa Clarita, Calif., earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She currently resides in San Francisco.

Situated on a rolling peninsula surrounded by the shores of Lake Merced in San Francisco’s southwestern corner, Harding Park features 27 holes of golf (Harding Park Golf Course and Fleming Course), a practice facility and a state-of-the-art clubhouse. Since 2004, the facility has also served as home to The First Tee of San Francisco. Harding Park’s clubhouse, renovated then reopened in July 2005, offers a full-service golf shop, restaurant and banquet facilities for weddings and special events, complete with views of the course and Lake Merced.

Originally designed by Willie Watson in 1925, Harding Park Golf Course underwent a comprehensive restoration and reopened to the public in August 2003. Soon after its renovation, the venue welcomed back a PGA TOUR event – the 2005 WGC-American Express Championship – to its storied grounds. Owned by the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department and managed by KemperSports, the Bay Area design recently earned 4 ½ stars in Golf Digest’s “2006/2007 Best Places to Play.” In Oct. of 2009, Harding Park will host The Presidents Cup.
