Caribbean Golf and Beach Community to Feature Greg Norman Designed Golf Course and Chris Evert Tennis Center
Scottsdale, Ariz. (October 17, 2008) – Troon Golf,® the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce it has been selected to manage the golf course, tennis center and club facilities at Costa Blanca by Metro, located on the southern coast of the Dominican Republic.
Costa Blanca by Metro is a new golf, tennis and beach community and is just a 45 minute drive from the capital city of Santo Domingo and 20 minutes from Las Americas International Airport. The 300-acre site will feature an 18-hole Greg Norman designed golf course, Chris EvertTennis Center, 180-slip marina designed for luxury yachts, several high-rise condo towers, luxury villas and additional residential developments.
The project developer, Group Metro Corporation, boasts more than three decades of experience and has a vision to become the leading tourism and real estate corporation in the Dominican Republic.

Construction on the first nine holes is currently underway. When complete, the par 72 golf course will feature eight seafront holes with lush fairways and striking natural backdrops. The clubhouse will feature a full-service restaurant, cigar bar, locker rooms and a banquet facility featuring breathtaking panoramic views of the golf course and the Caribbean Sea.

Immediate interest has been taken in the project with more than 85 percent of the Founder Memberships sold and the second phase of membership sales already underway.
