NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Event Provides Unique Opportunity to Spread E-Z-GO Message of “Excellence in Motion”
(AUGUSTA, GA) – E-Z-GO, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, is partnering with Atlanta Motor Speedway and NASCAR to present the E-Z-GO 200 on Saturday, Oct. 25.
The 130-lap event is one of four remaining races to decide the 2008 winner of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. E-Z-GO seized the opportunity to present the race as part of an ongoing effort to extend consumer awareness of the company’s line of personal-utility vehicles. In addition to its business-to-business marketing of fleet golf cars, turf-maintenance vehicles and personnel carriers to the golf and resort industries, E-Z-GO also markets vehicles to consumers via the industry’s largest network of dealers and distributors, with more than 600 dealer locations nationwide.
“We are proud and excited to partner with Atlanta Motor Speedway and NASCAR for the E-Z-GO 200,” said Kevin P. Holleran, president of E-Z-GO. “Atlanta Motor Speedway is one of the nation’s premier racing venues and NASCAR is the most popular and admired racing organization in the world.
“This represents a unique opportunity to showcase, to a national audience, the E-Z-GO brand and what goes behind it: the talented people, advanced technology, unmatched manufacturing expertise, and extraordinary service and support that delivers what no other golf car and utility vehicle manufacturer can, ‘Excellence in Motion.”
E-Z-GO’s vehicles for consumers range from the electric Freedom® RXV™ personal golf car with its groundbreaking AC Drive technology and full-time regenerative braking system, to the ST line of personal-utility vehicles, with various models equipped for a wide range of work and recreational needs.
In addition to presenting the E-Z-GO 200, E-Z-GO enjoys a longtime relationship with veteran NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Mike Skinner. E-Z-GO also sponsors its own Landon Ball, engineering manager in the company’s Augusta headquarters, in the National Auto Sport Association’s American Iron Series.
The E-Z-GO 200 will be televised nationally on the Speed Network. Coverage begins at 1 p.m. Oct. 25.
