JUPITER, Fla. – Strategic Shaft Technologies, LC, presented its SST PURE Shaft Alignment technology recently in Munich, Germany at Golf Europe, the largest golf trade show on the continent. With attendees visiting from 52 countries, the SST personnel at the stand were busy answering questions about the world’s leading shaft alignment system and were successful in securing new SST Licensees.
“I was impressed at the level of awareness the European golf trade had regarding our SST patented alignment system,” stated Gary Sheppard, SST’s Director of Global Business Development. “Custom club fitting is growing and while it has not yet achieved the high degree of awareness and success currently in the US market, I can easily see the day in the near future where a significant number of European golfers will be embracing the benefits of custom club fitting and SST PURE shaft alignment to enhance their golfing experience.”
Several potential SST licensees requested rights to the proprietary shaft alignment technology and SST will be finalizing agreements in the near future.
Golfsmith Europe, LLC also unveiled their 2009 line of Snake Eyes branded clubs for the European marketplace and all shafts in the line will feature PUREd shafts. “We are convinced that PURE shaft alignment is the best way to enhance the performance of any shaft, either made from steel or graphite, and by offering SST PUREd shafts standard in our entire line of Snake Eyes clubs, we know that golfers will now be getting the very best technology available,” enthused Doug Poole, Golfsmith Europe’s Managing Director.
Using proprietary computer software and sensitive data-acquisition sensors, the SST PURE® shaft alignment process analyzes the structural irregularities that exist to some degree in every golf shaft and locates the shaft’s most stable orientation. By assembling the club with the shaft in its SST PURE® orientation, off-line bending and twisting of the shaft are minimized and impact repeatability on the center of the clubface by the golfer improves by up to 51 percent. The process can be performed on existing clubs, new clubs or new shafts – steel or graphite – from all major manufacturers. SST PURE has also been named one of golf’s all-time Top 25 equipment developments by Golf International Magazine.
In addition to dominating the marketplace, SST PURE also dominates on the PGA Tour. In 2008, SST PUREd players totaled more than $125 million in combined winnings.
