KENTFIELD, Calif. (October 23, 2008) – Fairway Skins Company, an award-winning maker of a superior line of high-fashion ladies’ leather golf gloves and pouches, was a sponsor of the 4th annual Pink Ribbon Golf Classic, held Oct. 17 at Mystic Dunes Golf Club in Celebration, Fla. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society’s 10th Annual “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” fund-raising event. This year’s tournament, a scramble followed by a reception including a silent auction, featured 132 players.
“It was our pleasure to serve as a sponsor of this worthy event,” said Marje Helfet, CEO of Fairway Skins. “Great progress is being made in breast cancer research, and we are glad to do our part to support the effort to find a cure.”
In addition to its signature floral-design gloves and pouches, Fairway Skins recently introduced its new line of butterfly-design gloves. In keeping with the company’s original floral designs, each of the six new butterfly species rests on a colorful botanical, creating an elegant, distinctive new glove design choice for female golfers of discerning taste.
Fairway Skins won a “Best New Product” award at the 2007 PGA Fall Expo. Also last year the company was awarded the GolfTest USA “Seal of Excellence” for the superior quality, value and performance of its products.
Made from the finest cabretta leather, Fairway Skins gloves feature colorful, elegant botanicals. In addition to the six new butterfly designs, six classic floral designs also are available. Beautifully packaged, the gloves are constructed to withstand sun, wind and rain. Distinctive for their sophisticated designs and high-performance attributes, Fairway Skins gloves are worn by casual and serious golfers alike. Players appreciate their attractive look, ultra-soft feel and superior performance. Fairway Skins gloves and pouches make popular tee and tournament prizes, as well as attractive gift items.
Fairway Skins products are available in select golf shops across the U.S. and on the company Web site, www.fairwayskins.com.
