Portion of Sales to Benefit the Canadian Cancer Society and Breast Cancer Awareness
(TORONTO) – Golf Town – Canada’s largest golf retailer with unequaled selection and competitive prices at 39 locations coast to coast – announces the introduction of its exclusive Founders Club Believe line of ladies equipment and accessories with a portion of proceeds benefitting breast cancer research.
Featuring an 11-piece club set and travel cover, the new collection prominently displays the signature pink ribbon emblem that has become a popular sign of support against the most common cancer to affect women. Founders Club, which is only available in Canada at Golf Town stores, will donate 5 percent of its proceeds from the Believe collection to the Canadian Cancer Society to fight breast cancer.
“Females have become the fastest growing segment of the golf industry, and we’re proud to be able to support our customers on and off the course by offering items like the Believe line,” says Stephen Bebis, President and CEO of Golf Town. “Our vast product selection, including Golf Town-exclusive brands such as Founders Club and Gordon Cooper, ensures a wide-range of options for any golfer, regardless of age or ability.”
The Believe club set ($299.99) – which includes a driver, fairway woods, hybrids, irons and putter – is designed with the latest technology to advance a woman’s game and heighten the golf experience. The stylish pink-and-gray travel cover ($88.88) features in-line skate wheels for easy transportation, internal padding to protect clubs and a large accessible front shoe pocket.
“It is extremely rewarding to support a cause that affects so many women and families across Canada,” says Shawn Beatty, Founders Club Canadian National Sales Manager. “Both the club set and travel cover feature top of the line craftsmanship, indicative of our company’s commitment to supreme quality and performance.”
Among the largest charitable givers in the Canadian golf industry, Golf Town has donated more than $2 million since opening its first store in 1999. Together, the Annual Golf Town Invitational – which features PGA Tour superstars and high-profile business leaders – and Golf Town Charity Classic each year raise more than $350,000 to benefit the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation of Canada (www.prostatecancer.ca), which is devoted to eliminating the leading cancer threat to Canadian men ages 40-55.
Golf Town offers an unbeatable selection of clubs, bags, balls, apparel, footwear, accessories, gifts, logo merchandise, promotional services and more.
