SUGAR GROVE, Ill., Oct. 27, 2008 – The passion and patriotism of international team golf has captured the imagination of the American public. Now, it’s available in a special holiday gift package.
The Solheim Cup is the next big U.S.-versus-Europe match-play tournament and it’s coming to Rich Harvest Farms Golf Links in Sugar Grove, Ill., Aug. 18-23, 2009. The competition features 12 of the best professional women golfers from each side of the Atlantic, who tee it up for pride and country.
Today through Dec. 15, two special holiday gift packages are available for the 2009 Solheim Cup matches. The Birdie Package is $199 and consists of two (2) week-long Grounds tickets, as well as a commemorative coin with removable ball marker, and two lanyards to hold your ticket around your neck in stylish security.
The Eagle Package features two (2) week-long passes to the PING Pavilion for $499. This package also includes a commemorative coin with removable ball marker, two lanyards and on-site parking. The PING Pavilion, located behind the 17th green, provides a climate-controlled environment with a patio, seating areas, televisions, restrooms and a complete pay-as-you-go menu.
Week-long tickets are good for practice round viewing Aug. 18-20, the spirited Opening Ceremony on Thursday afternoon Aug. 20, the three official days of competition from Aug. 21-23 and the Closing Ceremony on Sunday, Aug. 23. This will be the 11th staging of The Solheim Cup, a biennial event that started in 1990.
