Annual Golf Outing Is Huge Success; 100% Of All Proceeds Donated To Phoenix Children’s Hospital
PHOENIX, Ariz. – November 4, 2008…JW Marriott Wildfire Golf Club, one of the premier golf resort destinations in Arizona, today announced that $50,331 was raised at the 7th Annual Children’s Miracle Network Charity Golf Tournament held on Monday, September 15, 2008. All of the proceeds from this year’s tournament were donated to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
The 2008 event marked the 7th consecutive year that Wildfire Golf Club hosted this charitable event. With an outstanding turnout of 288 participants, golfers teed it up on two of the Valley’s most beautiful golf courses, the Palmer Signature Course and the Faldo Championship Course, while supporting a very worthy cause.
This year’s first place winners for the Palmer Course were Aaron Lee, Jamie Ward, Derek Krueger, and Max Capito. On the Faldo Course, first place winners were Roy Higgins, Anthony McBride, Logan Fry, and John Seichei. All winners received a colorful, framed picture drawn by the kids from the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Additional activities included a raffle and a silent auction, featuring items donated by local vendors.
“For the seventh consecutive year, the Children’s Miracle Network Charity Golf Tournament has been a tremendous success,” said John Wright, Director of Golf at Wildfire Golf Club. “We are thrilled to see members of our local community continually support this worthy cause and raise so much money for the children each year.”
