Retief Goosen Victorious on Asian Tour Wearing New Line
NEW BEDFORD, Mass., November 5, 2008 – It looks like it is going to be a green spring this year in golf shops around the country. AHEAD announced today that its pre-book sales of the new eco-friendly performance line, featuring Cocona® natural technology™, are well ahead of forecast.
“It normally takes the golf industry a little longer to embrace trends such as green-friendly products, but what I am seeing is that golf professionals are getting on board and finding ways to become more environmentally friendly throughout their daily and professional lives,” said Jeff Waller, national sales director, AHEAD. “Our new eco-friendly line has been a big seller this fall with shops planning to create separate displays so they can better explain the features and benefits of the apparel line to their customers.”
Two-time major champion Retief Goosen won the Iskander Johor Open on the Asian Tour this past weekend wearing AHEAD’s new OG01 Bamboo Charcoal Pin Dot Polo in Lime. The victory helped him earn his 29th international title and keep his streak alive of having won either an individual or team title since 1995, the same year AHEAD started.
AHEAD offers the eco-friendly performance line in four styles for men: Bamboo Charcoal Pin Dot Polo, Cocona® Mesh Polo, Bamboo Charcoal Text Polo and an Organic Cotton Jersey Polo.
