HARVEST, Ala. (November 05, 2008) – As the 2008 season winds down, Balance-Certified Golf, developer of the number one shaft weighting system on Tour, continues to produce strong results on all the professional golf Tours. Balance-Certified’s technology was used by the winner of the PGA Tour’s Ginn sur Mer Classic. The player moved from 143rd to 73rd on the PGA Tour’s money list by sinking a ten foot putt on the 18th hole to break a six way tie. He averaged just 1.714 putts per green in regulation with his Balance-Certified equipped putter.
In other Tour news, Balance-Certified staff players Tom Jenkins and Scott Hoch finished T5 and T11 respectively at the Champions Tour’s Charles Schwab Cup Championship in Sonoma, California. Jenkins averaged 1.741 putts per green in regulation. In 2008, Hoch acquired two wins and placed 9th in Charles Schwab Cup points while Jenkins placed 21st.
Jeff Lindner, Balance Certified’s President, noted, “We are very pleased with our consistent performance on Tour this year. It is always good to finish the year off with a win on Tour. Overall, we definitely qualify this year as one of the best out of the eight years we have been on Tour and we are excited about the new technology we plan to introduce in 2009.”
Balance-Certified Golf, which is in use at many custom club fitting facilities in the U.S. and abroad, was selected among the ‘Best of Show’ products by Golfing Magazine in its “PGA Show Wrap-Up.” Balance-Certified Golf is garnering praise for how its attention to golf club vibration and feel leads to more satisfied golfers of every playing ability. Golfers all over the world who are being introduced to the Balance-Certified Pro-Balance system are experiencing the immediate improvement in shotmaking and feel that the system produces.
Balance-Certified Golf’s industry-leading back-weighting technology was developed by a former NASA engineering team in 1999. The Pro-Balance line introduces strategically-located weights that can be used to adjust a golf club’s vibration and response characteristics and can be installed on any brand of golf equipment and any club in the bag. Balance-Certified’s scientific approach to golf club dynamics helps transform “feel” into a definable and tunable parameter. Independent testing has demonstrated that the Balance-Certified Golf system delivers increased ball speed in drivers, greater iron play control and a tangible benefit in “feel” and distance control of putters.
Balance-Certified Golf’s Pro-Balance weighting system and power rings can be installed by club fitters or by individual golfers with the self-fit kit. Balance-Certified Golf systems can be found at many retail golf shops across the U.S. and elsewhere.
