The Carolinas PGA Section Headquarters is relocating November 15, 2008
Section is preparing to move down the waterway to the Grande Dunes on November 15. The move comes as part of the Section’s contractual agreement with Loris Health Care to relocate to another comparable facility that was mutually agreeable to both parties.
The Carolinas PGA Section Headquarters will be moving to a now-vacant building in the Grande Dunes complex that serves the temporary needs of the Section. It offers approximately 5,200 square feet of space which is essential to the staff and storage needs of the Section. During this move, the Carolinas PGA Section will remain as available as possible to its almost 2000 member PGA professionals throughout the Carolinas Section, and estimates only one-day of down time on Monday, November 17.
“This is a big move for us and we’re grateful to the Grande Dunes for making this option available,” said Ron Schmid, CPGA executive director. “The CPGA has been in Little River since 1976 and while we’ll be at the Grande Dunes until Mid November, 2011, during that three-year period we’ll be looking at various other options for the permanent home site. Whether that will be in Myrtle Beach or elsewhere is one of our biggest questions.”
Up next for the current office space is a complete demolition. Loris Healthcare plans to break ground on new medical and office facilities in the next few months. The Section’s new address is as follows:
8820 Marina Parkway Myrtle Beach, SC 29579 Once we confirm our new ph one and fax numbers, we will distribute them to all concerned. About Carolinas PGA Section
