PowerBilt Golf is introducing Air Force One drivers, fairway woods and hybrids featuring Nitrogen-Charged Power – clubheads filled with nitrogen gas to create the THINNEST FACE IN GOLF. Ultra thin faces create maximum performance. The news conference will be held November 12 at Chelsea Piers in New York City.
The technology, which is being used only by PowerBilt in the golf industry, works like this: the inside of the clubhead is coated with a leak-proof resin then filled with nitrogen to pressures up to 200 psi. The air pressure supports the face without mechanical bracing allowing the face to be thinned much more so than what is found on comparable clubs. This results in the thinnest face in golf, which creates a toe-to-heel sweetspot and a face that flexes for all golfers. Multiple face thicknesses will be offered meaning golfers can chose the face thickness that best suits their swing speed. This is the only technology in golf allowing all golfers, regardless of swing speed, to compress the face like a tour pro.
PowerBilt is a division of Hillerich & Bradsby, makers of Louisville Slugger bats and Bionic gloves.
