Women’s Golf Association Offers Leadership and Personal Enrichment Sessions, Golf Learning Opportunities, Fun Golf Competitions, Equipment Demo Days and Much More
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL, November 10, 2008 -The 2009 “Dare to Lead, Dare to Grow” EWGA Conference challenges women to expand their thinking and enrich their personal and professional lives with a line up of internationally recognized speakers and learning opportunities. The four-day conference hosted by the Executive Women’s Golf Association is February 18 through 21 at the JW Marriott Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, California. The event also includes numerous fun golf tournaments, equipment demonstrations, unique shopping marketplace, theme parties and an awards gala dinner. A 2007 survey of EWGA members conducted by the PGA of America found that 69% are avid golfers, playing more than 25 rounds per year. EWGA members annually spend on average $4,528 on golf fees, lessons, equipment, food and beverage, and golf-related travel. With a typical EWGA chapter generating over $698,800 in annual golf-related spending, the association represents over $85 million for the golf industry.
Since the EWGA started in 1991, more than 85,000 women have benefited from membership in the organization which is dedicated to connecting women to learn, play, and enjoy golf for business and for fun. EWGA chapters provide a wide range of golf, social and networking activities for both new and experienced golfers.
