Private club to create added value to highest membership level
BRENTWOOD, Tenn., November 17, 2008 – The Governors Club, a premier members-only golf club south of Nashville, recently announced a change in its membership structure by eliminating the Silver membership which was introduced during the renovation of the golf course. The Gold membership will be reintroduced to the market at a very attractive and competitive initiation fee.
“We feel that this change allows The Governors Club to remain competitive in today’s market and better position the club for long-term future growth,” said General Manager Eddie Moon. “The new structure will increase the value of our Gold membership while enabling us to improve the facility and create additional member programming, all of which adds value for our members.”
The Gold membership is very unique in the Nashville market as the dues structure includes amenities that are usually offered at an additional fee at other private clubs. Gold membership at The Governors Club includes full playing privileges at the 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature course, maintained at championship course conditions and use of the Clubhouse, which features the Palmer Dining Room with adjoining Lakeview Veranda for a casual lunch or formal dinner. In addition, well appointed Men’s and Women’s Locker Rooms complete with card areas, saunas and steam rooms, the 19th Hole Grille for casual dining or turn service and our full service Pro Shop are all available to members and included in the membership fee. The property also includes the Clubhouse Swimming Pool with Cabana Bar.
The Gold membership benefits include:
* Unlimited use of Arnold Palmer Signature Course and related facilities for the member, spouse and family members under age 25, living at home
* Unlimited use of driving range, putting green and practice areas
* Unlimited electric golf cart use for members over the age of 16
* Bag storage
* Unlimited use of all clubhouse facilities including swimming pool
* No tee-times required
* A full tournament schedule
* Numerous social and community-building events
In addition, the Gold membership is 80% refundable. The Governors Club will continue to offer Bronze and Social memberships which allow members limited golf and access to all other club amenities.
Nestled in the rolling hills of Brentwood, Tenn., The Governors Club spans 600-plus acres, featuring more than 430 custom estate residences and world-class amenities, including the championship-caliber Arnold Palmer Signature Course. The aesthetically inspiring layout, spread across 200 acres of the Tennessee development, showcases scenic stone and rockwork along with waterfalls and dramatic elevation changes. Renovation of the golf course, which began in the fall of 2006, has recently been completed to improve course conditions and playability.
