NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (November 23, 2008) – KZG, the #1 Custom ProLine™, has begun its search to identify “The World’s Top 100 ClubFitters” for 2009. This is the fourth year that KZG will recognize those 100 professionals with the skill, integrity and passion for the clubfitting profession. Those honored in 2008 hailed from 23 countries around the globe. They ranged from small shops serving rural areas to large operations doing extensive business with multiple fitters, instructors and hitting bays.
“A true professional fitter can shave strokes off of any golfer’s game. And every teaching professional will admit that lessons are a waste of time if the golfer is using ill-fitting clubs. At KZG, we recognize the importance of the Professional Fitter to the future growth of the game. And what better way than to honor the top 100 professional fitters in the world” reports Jennifer King, President of KZG.
Every applicant will be judged by an independent panel of leading industry experts. This year’s panel will include club designers Clay Long and Art Chou; Gene Parente, president of Golf Laboratories, Inc.; Steve Benzin, KZG’s Director of Fitting and Education; Kim Braly, world-renowned steel shaft designer; Dr. Christian Reichardt, author and doctor of sports medicine and fitness; and Henri Johnson, C.E.O. of FlightScope. The panel members will each submit their criterion on what to expect in an ideal clubfitting. From that criterion, a point system is put into place which is used to grade each application.
KZG will accept applications from any full-time professional clubfitter who works through or with legitimate retail facilities. Applications and instructions are available at www.kzg.com or you can email lesser@kzgolf.com. The deadline for submission is Dec. 15th, 2008. The winners will be announced during the week of the PGA Merchandise Show at the IPAC (International Professional Association of ClubFitters) annual meeting. Winners will be publicized through various mediums and will receive a framed award-certificate.
