Champ Has Consistent Presence in LPGA Field
Marlborough, MA – The golf community congratulates the winner of the ADT Championship in West Palm Beach on a spectacular finish. The Trump International Golf Club layout – known for owning three of the most difficult closing holes on Tour (16 through 18) – was overcome with a final-round 2-under-par 70 for a $1 million win. Additonally, MacNeill Engineering/ CHAMP had another successful week at this tournament having a third of the field wearing the CHAMP Stinger Spike™.
“As we come to the conclusion of the 2008 season, we have to attribute much of the exposure of the Lady Stinger to the strong relationships we have on the LPGA Tour. We have seen the power of ‘word of mouth’, as the number of girls asking for the Stinger spike continue to grow,” states Harris MacNeill, President of MacNeill Engineering/CHAMP spikes.
The Lady Stinger was launched back in 2007 as the first ever spike for women. The Lady Stinger spike is 15% smaller than the traditional Stinger spike which is to allow the spike to fit on the smaller shoe soles of female golfers.
