(Sports Media Person of the Year). … Pontus Widegren of Danderyd, Sweden, receives the American Junior Golf Association‘s Jerry Cole Sportsmanship Award. Widegren, 18, receives the award as recognition for his respect for fellow players, as well as tournament staff and volunteers. … Ken Schofield, former European Tour director, receives the the European Golf Course Owners Association Award for 2008. … Henry-Griffitts introduces its TechCentric Fitting system, the combination of a launch monitor and software technology that will augment its next-generation fitting cart. TechCentric Fitting is built on data measurement and fitting software.
