The Shivas Irons Society announces the addition of Neil E Jenkins to its Board of Directors

(CARMEL, CA, December 1, 2008) The Shivas Irons Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing members with opportunities for community, discovery and transformation through golf, today announced that Neil Jenkins has been named to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Jenkins is Executive Vice-President, Secretary and General Counsel of Lawson Products, Inc., an international seller and distributor of industrial products. Neil has served as a director of three public companies and is currently chairman of the compensation committee of Multimedia Games, Inc. He holds an AB from Brown University, a JD from Loyola University of the Chicago School of Law and an MS with Distinction in Financial Markets from the Center for Law and Financial Markets at Illinois Institute of Technology.

“I’m delighted to be able to serve with kindred spirits to increase awareness of the principles and magic of the Society,” said Jenkins. Steve Cohen, President of the Shivas Irons Society, added, “We’re very pleased to welcome Neil to the Board. As a charter member of the Society, he brings a long-standing passion for our mission, as well as substantial business acumen and leadership experience to the task of helping lead the Society into its next phase of growth.”

Founded in 1992, the Shivas Irons Society is 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Carmel, California. The Society is a network of more than a thousand golfers from all walks of life in over a dozen countries. The organization hosts local, regional and national golf outings on outstanding courses, offers annual tours to Ireland and Scotland, supports youth golf in the United States and overseas and is actively building a resource for golf’s art and literature. The Society is open to all who share its members’ love of the game and a respect for golf’s deeper dimensions.
