PHOENIX – Growing the game of golf involves sharing your passion for the sport, hence the Golf Academy of America (GAA) Phoenix Campus offers free golf lessons to the public. GAA, well-known for the golf education they provide, has provided fourth-semester students with the opportunity to give public lessons while completing their practical training to earn their teaching certification.

In 2008 alone, the GAA Phoenix campus will have given more than 750 free golf lessons.

Phoenix campus director and PGA Master Professional Tim Eberlein says, “The opportunity to gain experience teaching junior and beginner-level golfers helps our students to develop their teaching skills, plus the public enjoys the opportunity to improve their golf games. This is a win-win for everyone.”

Opened in early 1996 and expanded in 2006, The Golf Academy of America Phoenix Campus boasts a complete facility designed to give students the best golf education in the country, along with access to many scenic and challenging golf courses in Arizona.

With a curriculum designed to take students from the classroom to the course, the Golf Academy of America offers a 16-month program of golf instruction and golf business management. The Golf Academy of America is a leader in golf education with four campuses in major golf markets – Phoenix, Myrtle Beach, Orlando and San Diego. Founded in 1974, GAA is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) and by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), a national advocate and institutional voice for self-regulation of academic quality through accreditation.
