TaylorMade-adidas Golf to host Putting Challenge at Four Florida Panthers’ Home Games During Month of December

Fans Will Have Opportunity to Win Prizes, Select Favorite Number for Customized TaylorMade TP Golf Balls

CARLSBAD, Calif. (December 3, 2008) TaylorMade-adidas Golf and the National Hockey League’s Florida Panthers are teaming up to present Panthers’ fans with a 25-foot putting challenge at four home games in the month of December. Contestants will putt for a chance to win TaylorMade golf equipment.

“We are excited to partner with the Panthers and enhance their fans’ gamenight experience, while also allowing them to test-drive the same TaylorMade products used by some of the best golfers in the world,” said Eric Bean, TaylorMade Golf South Florida Representative. “We all know that hockey players are very superstitious, including the selection of their uniform number. Everyone has a favorite number and usually there’s a personal story behind it. The MyTP Ball program allows golfers to connect with their number and make their golf ball an extension of themselves.”

The putting challenge gives fans an opportunity to putt with a TaylorMade TP golf ball emblazoned with a uniform number of one of their favorite Panthers using a TaylorMade Rossa® Monza® Spider putter, which was used to win twice on the PGA Tour in 2008. Fans can choose one of the following player’s numbers: star defenseman Jay Bouwmeester (#4), assistant captain Cory Stillman (#61) or starting goaltender Tomas Vokoun (#29).

The putting challenge will be held during each of the following home games at BankAtlantic Center:

12-4 – vs. Buffalo Sabres

12-6 – vs. Boston Bruins

12-21 – vs. Colorado Avalanche

12-23 – vs. Nashville Predators

The putting contests begin before the start of each game and run through the second period. Fans have the opportunity to win a grand prize golf package from TaylorMade and the Florida Panthers during the second intermission. Each participant will have one attempt to sink a 25-foot putt and win a sleeve of TaylorMade® Burner® golf balls with the Florida Panthers logo. All winners will qualify to compete in the grand prize round for a chance to win a custom fit TaylorMade Burner Driver from Edwin Watts in Plantation, Florida.

The TaylorMade MyTP balls used in the contest can be found at local retailers such as Edwin Watts and Golf Trader, and through December 10 all consumers who purchase MyTP ball can personalize with their own two-digit number for free.

The MyTP Ball program from TaylorMade Golf gives golfers the opportunity to customize their own TaylorMade TP Red and TP Black golf balls by emblazoning a two-digit number of their choosing, anything from 00 to 99. The program allows golfers to design their own golf balls in a new and individualized way. Choose your favorite Panthers number or personalize it with your own favorite number.
