At this year’s Q-School held in Palm Springs, Nickent Golf was one of the most trusted partners for the players looking to secure their future on golf’s biggest stage.
Over 35 Nickent golf clubs were put into play at the event, with 6 players using Nickent to help secure their exempt status on the PGA and Nationwide Tour. Nickent staff player, and ex-Big Break contestant, James Nitties of Australia played a SuperMag driver, a 4DX Ironwood and a 4DX fairway wood to finish 2nd at the event to earn his fully exempt card on the PGA TOUR.
“I put the Nickent SuperMag driver in play in April this year and it was a match made in Heaven,” said Nitties. “Instantly it gave me the control and consistency that I was looking for. Not only did it look and feel great, but I also hit it much further. I have no doubt that the Nickent SuperMag driver can help the average golfer improve their driving and lower their scores, just like it did for me to shoot 24-under and finish 2nd in the US tour qualifying school. The Nickent SuperMag driver was definitely the club of the week for me.”
Nickent staff players Jeff Klauk (#3), Kris Blanks (#13) and David Mathis (#14) earned their 2009 PGA TOUR cards by finishing in the Top 25 on the Nationwide Tour money list. All three were winners on the 2008 Nationwide Tour. Nickent had two other non-sponsored players that won with Nickent clubs in their bags this year, one of whom also qualified for the 2009 PGA TOUR. All in all, Nickent has been in the bags of 25 players who have graduated to the PGA TOUR from the Nationwide Tour or through Q-School over the past five seasons.
