Explanar Golf operated a “beat your score” promotion at the World Amateur Championships with the prize, valued at over $4,500, being a trip to Las Vegas and a two day School with leading instructor Butch Harmon and his Team.
Contestants were invited to register their score and then experience Explanar. If the next day they beat their score they were entered into a drawing for the trip to Las Vegas. Over 80% of those that participated beat their score the next day.
The winner, pictured with Butch Harmon, was Mike St Clair a 10 handicap player from North Carolina. Mike won a two day School with Butch and his Team and 3 nights in Las Vegas.
Asked about the experience, Mike St Clair said: “This was the best golfing experience of my life. Butch and everyone at the School was incredible. I couldn’t have been made more welcome. The instruction was so simple and I don’t think I’ve ever hit is so good. They say ‘what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas’ but I’m telling everyone!”
Tony Clark commented: “The PGA Tour Superstore World Am is a great week. Almost 4,000 golfers come together for a festival of golf and we work with hundreds of them with dramatic results.
