ROANOKE, TEXAS (Dec. 17, 2008) – Brian Pavlet will be inducted into the Long Drivers of America Hall of Fame next fall during the 2009 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship finals in Mesquite, Nevada.
Pavlet, 41, becomes the 12th individual awarded long drive’s highest honor. He earns a lifetime exemption to the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship, as well as to all other LDA-sanctioned events.
A former University of Nevada-Reno baseball player, Pavlet shot to prominence by winning the U.S. National Long Drive Championship (forerunner of the RE/MAX WLDC) in 1993.
Over the past 15 years, Pavlet has a compiled an impressive record at the RE/MAX world finals. He was runner-up in 1999 and 2001, third in 1997 and 2002. Pavlet also made the top five in 1995 and 1998.
In 2003, Pavlet enjoyed a spectacular season on the LDA Tour that included wins in Boston, Minneapolis, and Sacramento and a runner-up finish at the LDA Tour Championship in Dallas.
Pavlet, a member of the elite Pinnacle Distance Team and a professional golf entertainer, lives with his wife, Lisa, and sons, Tyler and Zane, in the Phoenix suburb of Litchfield Park.
