International Golf & Professional Caddie Academy (IGPCA-PCA) -PCA opens doors in Melbourne, Australia. They offer an all weather indoor training facility open to the public. The facility includes putting, chipping and driving bays, and features innovative training aids and swing analysis technology. The facility is also geared up to train professional caddies for the PGA and LPGA tours and golf clubs around the world.

The vision of the school, which is aligned with PCA Worldwide to teach the profession of caddying, is to train and provide opportunities to youth, and to foster the great game of golf and it’s life-developing core values, especially in the Australasian region. The academy serves many functions but one of it’s primary objectives is to assist with the shedding of the stigma of golf as an elitist sport while attracting new aspirants to the game especially those from disadvantaged societies. ” We are very proud to work with a team of professionals who have the heart for preserving the game and the vision to address their cutting edge market and other countries., ” stated Dennis Cone Founder/CEO of the PCA www.PCAhq.com Come by the PCA booth # 4587 at the 2009 PGA SHOW to get the behind ropes information and Caddie Chat at Caddie Corner with http:// www.pgashow.com Alfred ” Rabbit ” Dyer (Gary Player’s long time Looper/ friend ) and other Hall of Fame inductees

Maurice Chapman, founder and CEO of IGPCA-PCA said “My goal is to provide the highest level of training and a learning environment for all junior golfers regardless of their economic status. I believe IGPCA-PCA will be a great asset,” Chapman said. “My passion for teaching and love for golf have given me the desire to share expertise with juniors from around the world, and I am very excited to open my own training facility.” IGPCA-PCA offers a valuable opportunity for golf enthusiasts of all ages to develop their skills and master fundamental techniques in golf and caddying. The golf and caddying training programs are also valuable for those interested in pursuing a career in the golfing industry.

As the only caddie school in Australia they offer students the chance to become a Professional Working Caddie. In association with The World Caddie Hq-Professional Caddie Association ( PCA ) in America and the UK, they provide an Introduction to Caddying phase 1 apprenticeship, certification course and a Worldwide Master Caddie course. Graduates can caddie in the USA, UK, Australia, Asia or any other country of their choosing.

Students who wish to enter the Golf/Caddie & Hospitality or Golf/ Caddie and Turf Management field can undertake a Diploma course with IGPCA associate schools Hays International College(HIC) or Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE (NMIT), both Australian Government approved CRICOS providers. This course offers local and international students the opportunity to learn caddying and play golf and at the same time obtain valuable tertiary qualifications with practical work experience.

Located in the rolling countryside of Bayswater, Victoria, IGPCA-PCA provides the perfect backdrop and recreational facilities for champion- level training. By participating in the program at this academy, juniors will regularly experience Melbourne’s world famous sand-belt golf courses. IGPCA-PCA, which is expected to attract full-time students worldwide, will also offer short-term year round programs.
