Norcross, GA (January 6, 2009) – Mizuno, the #1 forged iron in golf, has once again made a lasting impression on the judges of Golf Digest’s Hot List, as all four of the company’s new iron models received Gold Medals. Mizuno dominated the iron competition of the 2009 Hot List, scoring at least one Gold winner in each of the iron categories, and taking home more iron Gold Medals than any other golf company.

Mizuno posted two of the five Gold Medal winners in the Player’s Iron category, as the Grain Flow Forged MP-52 and MP-62 irons with Dual Muscle Technology scored extremely high in all categories tested. The MP-52 was the category leader in both the “Performance” and “Looks/Sound/Feel” categories (perfect 5 out of 5 stars), with one player tester commenting “Excellent across the board. Forgiveness in longer irons was exceptional.” The MP-62s, a true player’s muscleback, performed just as impressively in its Gold Medal performance, driving the Golf Digest judges to proclaim “If you’ve got game, you’d be a fool not to look at these.”

Mizuno has long been known for producing the world’s finest player’s irons, but as evidenced by the Gold Medal achievements earned by both the MX-200s in the Game Improvement category, and the MX-100s in Super Game Improvement, Mizuno stakes claim to the best feeling, best performing irons for all players and all skill levels. The Grain Flow Forged MX-200 irons utilizing Y-Tune Technology were described by one Hot List player tester as “The softest feel in a game-improvement iron” while the Golf Digest judges added “When it comes to forgings, few (if any) do it better than Mizuno, and that extends from its player’s irons to this game-improvement set.”

Rounding out Mizuno’s incredible four-iron Gold performance is the hybrid designed MX-100 set, which beat out all other super game improvement irons to score highest in the “Performance” category. When referring to the seamless set flow of the MX-100s, one Hot List player tester had to say this to say about the MX-100s, “This set makes a perfect transition from hybrids to irons.”

Mizuno’s irons weren’t the only ones being honored in Golf Digest’s Hot List. The soon to be released MX-700 driver and MX-700 hybrid with Hot Metal technology were both awarded Silver Medals in their respective categories. One player tester commented that the MX-700 driver was “just about perfect. I couldn’t not hit it straight” while another added “This is just a cannon, deadly long, and it looks very comfortable at address.” Last but certainly not least, the Grain Flow Forged MP-T series wedge scored an impressive

4 ½ out of 5 stars in both the “Performance” and “Look/Sound/Feel” categories, resulting in a Silver Medal designation in the wedges category.
