Kick Off Caddy For A Cure at the FBR Open

(December 30, 2008 – Coral Springs, FL) – Caddy For A Cure, Inc., the opportunity of a golfing lifetime to go inside the ropes and caddy for the world’s best players at PGA TOUR venues, proudly announces the participation of two PGA TOUR superstars in the 2009 FBR Open in Scottsdale – 2008 FBR Open Champion, J.B. Holmes and 2008 U.S. Ryder Cup team member, Ben Curtis.

Caddy For A Cure offers its exciting PGA TOUR player caddy opportunities through its website (www.caddyforacure.com) and eBay auctions. The auctions to caddy for J.B. Holmes and Ben Curtis at the 2009 FBR Open began on Tuesday, December 22, 2008 and will run for 30-days through Thursday, January 22, 2009 or until sold. The caddy date for both players will be during the FBR/Xerox Silver Pro-Am on Wednesday, January 28th.

Caddy For A Cure, Inc. offers individuals the chance to caddy for some of the world’s best players during their official practice rounds of PGA TOUR events through bid opportunities in online auctions on eBay. Caddy for a Cure, Inc. donates 100% of auction proceeds to various charities, including the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, which is the impetus behind the Caddy For A Cure program, the Wounded Warrior Project, and to many other qualified organizations.

In addition to being the reigning FBR Open champion, J.B. Holmes is one of the longest hitters on the PGA TOUR and is sure to be looking for a repeat win in 2009. Curtis, a 2008 U.S. Ryder Cup team member, finished 9th in the 2008 FedEx Cup rankings and is coming off an extremely strong 2008 PGA TOUR performance.

“We love starting out the year at the FBR Open and are thrilled to have the reigning champion participating with us there,” said Russ Holden, Caddy For A Cure founder and veteran PGA TOUR caddy. “Both J.B. and Ben are awesome guys, have incredible golf skills and plenty of experience to share with the lucky winning caddies. It’s yet another tribute to the spirit of giving back to the community by both players, the PGA TOUR and the FBR Open.”

The FBR Open is legendary for drawing the largest crowds on the PGA TOUR and for attracting the best in the game to its field. Held at the beautiful TPC Scottsdale Stadium course, the FBR Open is a perfect venue for tournament golf and spectators. Hosted by The Thunderbirds, this year marks the 74th playing of the Phoenix TOUR stop, making it one of the five oldest tournaments on TOUR.

“All in all, the fit between Holmes, Curtis, the FBR Open, The Thunderbirds and Caddy For A Cure is perfect,” says Holden. “Once again, we witness the outstanding commitment of the professional game of golf and all those involved to change lives for the better.”
