LAKE MARY, FL – In recently conducted elections, the International Network Of Golf membership voted one new member onto the ING Advisory Board and retained two others for another term.
Dave Adamonis, Publisher Emeritus of New England Golf Monthly, was elected to serve a three-year term on the board that advises the managing council of the ING, the Executive Committee. Also, golf course architect Ron Garl and Gustbuster/Sunbuster president Steve Asman were welcomed back to the board.
The International Network Of Golf is a 19-year-old, media-based non-profit association. ING’s mission is to “enhance and promote communication and education in golf.” Its primary function is to conduct conferences in which media members and business executives come together to communicate, test products, exchange information and develop and nurture relationships.
Adamonis’ magazine, New England Golf Monthly, covers all aspects of golf in the northeast, and includes national and international coverage of equipment and travel. Adamonis also created the golf management curriculum at the Miami campus of Johnson & Wales University, and coached the university’s golf team to a national championship. And on top of all of his other accomplishments, Adamonis is a cancer survivor.
John Glozek, Associate Publisher of Golfing magazine and Editor/Publisher of Golfing-Long Island remains President of the ING. Jack Bacot, President of JB Media, is ING Vice President.
Other members of the Executive Committee are John Steinbach of TaylorMade-adidas Golf, George Baker if Razor Golf and Tony Leodora of Golfstyles Philadelphia. Jamison Golf Group is the management company for ING.
Other ING Advisory Board members are: Holly Geoghegan, Golf Marketing Services, Mike Kern, Philadelphia Daily News, Mitch Laurance, Two Aces, Inc, Ann Liguori, Ann Liguori Productions, and Tim O’Connor, O’Connor Golf Communications.
The ING will have a major presence at this year’s PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando Jan. 29-31, with ClubING, Room 309. The ING Hospitality Room will host twice-a-day teaching clinics by Explanar’s Luther Blacklock, daily Happy Hours, the ING Industry Honors and the ING Media Awards.
The 19th anniversary ING Spring Conference will be May 17-21 at the stunning French Lick Resort in Indiana.
