Orlando, FL – STINGR Solutions LLC announced today that it will donate a portion of its GRIP2 Golf Umbrella sales to the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). The GRIP2 Golf Umbrella will be introduced at the 2009 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FL from 29-31 January 2009. GRIP2 is STINGR’s first consumer product venture.
For over 25 years, STINGR’s founder has been developing high-tech products to help the US military do its job more effectively and more safely. And while start-up company STINGR supports defense and homeland security industries through engineering consulting services, thereby continuing its founder’s drive to make a difference, the company’s commercial product development efforts – such as GRIP2 – don’t provide the same level of relevance and satisfaction. “By donating a portion of GRIP2 sales to WWP, we’ve found a way to ratchet up the importance of achieving commercial product success”, says STINGR founder and President Dan O’Donnell. “More importantly, we’re helping a great cause. The slogan of our GRIP2 umbrella – Grab Control – relates well to WWP’s mission of Honoring and Empowering wounded warriors. These brave individuals put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms, and we are honored to contribute to WWP’s efforts to speed their physical and emotional recovery and their successful transition back to civilian life.”
“On behalf of the thousands of severely injured service members, we want to thank STINGR Solutions LLC for their dedication to our nation’s heroes. Their commitment is helping ensure the tremendous personal sacrifices that service men and women make for our country are not forgotten”, said Wounded Warrior Project Executive Director John Melia.
