NORTHBROOK, Ill., Jan. 9, 2009 – KemperSports recently announced Scott Heyn as general manager of Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda, Calif. Heyn returns to Black Gold after having served as the club’s director of golf from 2006 until earlier this year.

An industry professional for 10 years, Heyn was honored in 2007 as the KemperSports Retailer of the Year for his role in exceptional golf course operations, tournaments and retail sales at Black Gold Golf Club.

“Scott’s track record and experience at Black Gold Golf Club will be a tremendous asset in his new role as general manager,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “We are confident in his abilities to lead the property into the future.”

The 18-hole course, owned by the City of Yorba Linda and operated by KemperSports, sits in close proximity to Disneyland, the Anaheim Resort and just one mile north of the Richard M. Nixon Library and birthplace. Designed by Arthur Hills, the challenging par-72 layout incorporates several water features, slight elevation changes, rolling hills, strategic bunkering and breathtaking vistas overlooking Orange County. The fully lighted practice area includes 28 natural turf stations and a practice green.

A graduate of Loyola Marymount University, Heyn has been a Class ‘A’ Member of the PGA since 2004.
