RIDGELAND, Miss. – SkyGolf, one of the fastest-growing companies in golf and maker of SkyCaddie®, the No. 1 rangefinder in golf, has been named The Official Rangefinder of The PGA of America. The announcement comes on the heels of the recent PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit, where SkyGolf served as a supporting sponsor, with SkyCaddie showcased as a product demonstration partner.

SkyCaddie enables golfers to accurately measure distances on a golf course, obtaining the same reliable and complete information that touring professionals receive from their caddie. In fact, SkyCaddie allows golfers to entirely focus on “playing golf,” by providing automatic distance information so that they can quickly select the right club and focus on the target with confidence. This eliminates the need to search for distance markers, allowing golfers to play better, play faster and have more fun.

“SkyGolf, through its SkyCaddie innovation, has made a significant contribution to the game of golf today,” said PGA of America President Jim Remy. “SkyCaddie technology has been validated by players of all levels and we are excited to partner with a company whose mission reflects that of our Association to grow the game.”

“As we continue our mission to help grow the game of golf, we are very excited to partner with The PGA of America, an organization that has driven this very mission for nearly 100 years,” said Richard Edmonson, chief executive officer of SkyGolf. “SkyCaddie is a critical tool for improving performance on the golf course and we believe this alliance with The PGA of America will enable SkyGolf to effectively communicate our performance messages through its more than 28,000 men and women PGA Professionals and the millions of golfers that these professionals work with on a daily basis.”

Only SkyCaddie, after getting permission, walks the course with skilled golfers – using survey grade equipment – to record high-precise distance information, using the only method trusted by Tour caddies to get information for their Tour player. As a result, only SkyCaddie works hand-in-hand with each of its more than 23,000 golf course partners to ensure that golfers have the benefit of the most up-to-date and reliable course maps in the game today. SkyGolf’s patented IntelliGreen technology automatically rotates the true shape of the green to match a golfer’s angle of approach. This gives golfers a scoring opportunity on every shot, as it provides not only the front carry and back distances, but the depth of the green from any line of approach, just like a Tour caddie.
