Golf Academy of America Graduate Welcomed at Dataw Island

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – A graduate of the Golf Academy of America (GAA), Jason Cochran is joining the group at Dataw Island Club in Beaufort, S.C., as assistant golf professional. Cochran will assist in the management of golf shop operations, organizing teaching programs that promote golf groups and helping supervise and direct golf staff.

“With a degree in applied business and golf operations management, plus an emphasis as a teaching professional, Jason is more than prepared for this position and GAA is always delighted to follow up on our graduates, for reasons such as Jason’s success,” says Don Keith, vice president of marketing communications of Education Corporation of America, parent company of GAA.

Cochran has also received certifications in advanced teaching, tournament administration, club fitting and marketing and golf rules.
