Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program annual membership fee included with CourseVision subscription
CourseVision, the leading provider of web based environmental content and imagery for golf courses, has teamed with Audubon International in support of their Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses (ACSP). Beginning in 2009, any course with an active CourseVision subscription will be eligible to have their annual membership fee for the ACSP paid by CourseVision.
“Several of our customers are enrolled in the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program and have utilized CourseVision’s Google Earth™ visual interface to actively promote their environmental projects and initiatives,” said Rich Williamson, a Partner with the company. “By sponsoring membership into this award-winning program for our customers, we hope to make it easier for more courses to participate in Audubon International’s program and to share their ongoing environmental efforts,” he continued.
Under the partnership, CourseVision and Audubon International will continue to define areas where CourseVision’s powerful visualization capabilities can be adapted to assist courses in the ACSP certification process.
“We’re excited about our partnership with CourseVision and the significant benefits it can provide our Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program members,” states Kevin A. Fletcher, Ph.D., Executive Director for Audubon International. “We believe CourseVision’s ability to interactively present our members’ environmental stewardship can raise the awareness of the significant efforts each of them have put into protecting the environment.”
Early feedback on the partnership has been extremely positive. Dan Dinelli, CGCS, at North Shore Country Club in Glenview, IL, is a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program member and a CourseVision customer. Dinelli is also the recipient of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) 2009 President’s Award for Environmental Stewardship. Dinelli commented, “CourseVision allows me to easily share my environmental programs at the course with my members and community.” He also added that, “CourseVision has helped me address the outreach and education component of our Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary certification”.
