PGA TOUR exempt players Ricky Barnes and Brad Adamonis set to play Wilson Staff equipment in 2009

CHICAGO, Ill – Jan. 19, 2009 – Wilson Golf, the Chicago-based company whose irons have captured more Major titles than any other manufacturer, announced that it has reached agreements with U.S. players Ricky Barnes and Brad Adamonis to use Wilson Staff clubs. The duo will join Wilson Staff player and three-time Major winner, Padraig Harrington, on the U.S. tour staff. Harrington re-signed with Wilson Golf on a multi-year deal in October 2008.

“We are very excited to bring Ricky and Brad onto the Wilson Golf team,” said Wilson Golf general manager Tim Clarke. “Both have shown that they are players to watch and we are confident that having Wilson Staff clubs in their bags will make a difference in their play on this year’s PGA TOUR.”

Barnes, who is embarking on his first full season on the PGA TOUR, finished 25th on the Nationwide Tour money list in 2008 and has participated in 24 PGA TOUR events since turning professional in 2003. The two-year deal ensures that Barnes will carry the distinctive Wilson Staff tour bag and also feature the Wilson Staff logo on the front of his hat through the 2010 PGA TOUR season. In addition, the 27-year old will play the prototype Fg62 irons and the 56 and 60-degree Tw9 wedges.

Adamonis, 36, has significant experience on the PGA TOUR, teeing off in 29 events in 2008, a career-high, including three top-10 finishes and a tie for second place at the John Deere Classic. A 12-year veteran, Adamonis will sport the Wilson Staff logo on his bag and both sides and back of his hat in addition to using the Fg62 irons and 56 and 60-degree Tw9 wedges.

The Tw9 tour-milled wedges that will be used by both players were first introduced in 2008 when Padraig Harrington used them in his successful quest to become two-time Open Champion.
