New Lens Technology; All-in-One Launch System; Expanded Software Options

Winston-Salem, NC (January 21, 2009)

AccuSport International, Inc. today announced sweeping product portfolio changes to both their hardware and software platforms. The company has retooled it’s existing Vector Pro Launch System with the addition of new micro-lens technology, will begin shipping a new all-in-one launch system, VectorX, that doesn’t require connection to a computer beginning in March and will begin shipping a new simulation range product, VRange for Vector, Vector Pro and VectorX in February. Additionally, the company has created new core video teaching and fitting software – VTeach and VFit – that will ship with the new Vector Pro with micro-lenses, will release an upgrade to its Vector Links simulator software in 2009 and will begin offering the new AccuSport Certified Fitter Program™ in the spring of 2009.

AccuSport is the leading developer and marketer of golf swing launch monitors and its Vector Launch System is recognized throughout the golf industry for its accuracy, portability and affordability. The Vector Pro model offers a fully integrated video swing analysis application for lessons, along with a student database for storing sessions. The new VectorX platform is an all-in-one launch system that captures, processes and displays launch data via an on-board computer and display screen.

“We see the current economic climate as a time of opportunity,” said Don Thorup, President of AccuSport. “Oftentimes, companies pull back on their product development investments during times of economic contraction. We believe it’s the perfect time to introduce new products that continue to benefit the industry, improve ease of use and help create revenue for our customers,” Thorup stated.

AccuSport has touched every area of its product portfolio with these changes including:

Vector Pro – With the introduction of new micro-lens technology, users will now never need to touch the lenses during set-up. The new micro-lens technology on Vector Pro now allows users to execute a “single click” software and calibration set-up. The new unit has a fixed focus and automatically adjusts the aperture during the set-up process. Vector Pro with micro-lenses will begin shipping on February 9th.

VectorX – This new all-in-one launch system captures ball information, processes data with an on-board computer and displays the results on a color display screen. The unit will ship with embedded fitting and practice software and uses the same new micro-lens technology as now available with Vector Pro. “VectorX sets a new standard for ease of use, portability and flexibility,” Thorup stated. VectorX will begin shipping in March.

VTeach and VFit Software – These software modules will ship standard with any new Vector Pro purchase. VTeach allows users to connect a video camera and incorporate Vector Pro launch system data into their lessons. VFit allows users to compare and contrast club heads, shafts, balls, or other variables and plot results via thirteen color options. The software also includes a “What If” analysis feature to allow users to change launch parameters as they seek optimum performance.

VRange Software – This new software module will be available to all Vector, Vector Pro and VectorX users and provides a high resolution graphical interface with four target distances – 350 yards, 225 yards, 155 yards and 105 yards. “”VRange provides a quick and easy to use practice and fitting range for both golf professionals and consumers,” Thorup stated. This module fully integrates to VTeach and VFit if those modules are present or can run independently with Vector or VectorX. “Making VRange available to original Vector customers helps extend their investment during tough economic times and provides them with a fresh new software interface,” Thorup said.

Vector Links – An upgraded version of the company’s core simulator product that includes a Practice Range, Practice Area with 81 distance combinations, Long Drive and Closest to the Pin Contests will be released late spring 2009. This high resolution 3-D imagery provides the ultimate in golf simulation experiences and uses Vector Pro launch data for accuracy.

AccuSport Certified Fitter Program™ – This new education and information program will be offered beginning in May, 2009. “We recognize that there is a knowledge hole in the industry with regards to custom fitting and using launch monitor data,” Thorup said. “Our customers have asked us to develop a fitting certification curriculum for their pros and employees to help them maximize their launch monitor investment and provide greater service for their members or customers,” Thorup stated. The new program will include 15-20 chapters of information covering topics such as launch monitor data, club head, shaft and ball performance, the physics of the golf swing and other relevant topics. Graduates will be designated as an “AccuSport Certified Fitter” and will receive appropriate recognition upon completion of the curriculum.

“These are exciting times at AccuSport,” Thorup stated, “and we intend to continue to be the leader for the golf industry in the launch monitor category. Additionally, we continue to fulfill our corporate mission “To help our clients be more successful” and we believe these product and service changes help drive that home,” Thorup said.

AccuSport will be in Orlando at the PGA Show beginning January 29th and can be visited in Booth # 2003.
