January 22, 2009 (Oakbrook Terrace, IL) Excel Golf Products, Inc., maker of Zero Friction Tees, the No. 1 Performance Tee on the PGA Tour ™, has produced three brand new alternative golf tees for the 2009 season.
The incredibly successful line of Zero Friction will expand this year with Zero Friction ‘Lock N Drive’ Adjustable Height Tees. Created for the golfer that wants a consistent tee height no matter what club you’re hitting. They will be available white and in sizes of 2 ¾ and 3 1/4. With six settings along the shaft of the tee, ‘Lock N Drive’ can be adjusted with a stopper that fits into evenly spaced notches. The stopper can also be removed and doubles as a Zero Friction logo ball marker. Complete with Zero Friction’s patented 3- prong design, ‘Lock N Drive’ delivers accuracy in tee height and at impact.
Also hitting the market in 2009 will be Zero Friction 3-prong Hardwood Performance Tees, Where Technology Meets Tradition™. Available in white and natural finishes and in sizes of 2 ¾ and 3 ¼, the 3-prong design will mimic the purpose of the original Zero Friction Tee as the performance cup significantly reduces the contact area between the tee and ball by 66%. At impact, this small degree of contact reduction results in increased accuracy and distance on tee shots. The new Zero Friction 3- prong Hardwood Performance Tee will be the ideal solution for traditional golf clubs looking to make a notable change.
Staying consistent with Excel Golf’s track record of producing eco- friendly products, the new bio-composite ‘e- Tee’ gives a new spin to an old classic. As the most traditional way to “go green”, ‘e-Tee’ has the makeup of a standard wood tee but will be significantly more durable. Much like Zero Friction, the ‘e-Tee’ will be able to survive the most powerful hits and the hardest grounds. ‘e-Tee’ will be available in natural, white, and multi-color finishes and in sizes of 2 ¾ and 3 ¼.
